Interesting story about social networking which might  be a good warning for volunteer-run groups like unions who are getting involved in the issue.

UK Presidential candidate Barack Obama has got into trouble after taking control of a volunteer activist's page on MySpacei. The activist, Joe Anthony, developed a tribute site to Obama, and over 2 years managed to aquire 160,000 friends - a huge number for a MySpace campaign.

An interesting new campaign from Oxfam GB, the international development charity (where I used to work on web stuff, many years ago!).

Rather than run it just on their own site, they've started a MySpacei page, and are trying to get people to sign up as friends and contribute to the page. They're also running similar pages in flickri, YouTubei and facebooki.

This site offers Forum attendees and special guests the ability to author their own blogis as part of the site's group blog.
